Mad Men Season 1

Apparently I am behind the curve with this one but I recently purchased the first season of Mad Men and since, I've hardly moved from my seat in front of the TV. I am finding the development of the characters very intriguing. I don't know where I should love or hate Donald Draper; or feel sorry or if Joan is a conniving bitch or a helpful angel.

I feel particularly drawn to Elizabeth Moss's character, Peggy. She tries so hard to do her job well and just can't seem to fit into the office social scene. What she does do is forge a way for women to work, as more than just a secretary and sex kitten, in the advertising industry. Her character puts my job into perspective. It helps me appreciate what a struggle it was for women to do what I think I rightly deserve as a hard-worker and college graduate, a job in the industry.

I'm looking forward to season 2. More insight to come but in the meantime check out Mad Men's ultra interactive website. http://www.amctv.com/originals/madmen or buy Season 1 and let me know your thoughts. Mad Men - Season OneMad Men - Season One [Blu-ray]
