It's crazy to me how quickly life can change. Yesterday I received some tragic news that a friend's mom was killed in a car accident upon leaving church. The news itself was shocking and difficult to digest. The Pennsylvania mother left behind nine children ranging in ages from three to 24. It's always hard to hear that a friend or loved-one has lost some one special but I take comfort in the fact that I know there is life after death.
What is harder for me to put in perceptive is how in the blink of an eye your entire world, or life as you know it, can change. When I woke up late for work, it was an extremely ordinary Thursday. It was St. Patrick's Day and my parent's 27th Anniversary, but besides that the day was nothing more than regular. For my friend, however, the events of yesterday are sure to change her. She will make decisions differently, she will live her life differently, she will be changed. Seeing how quickly that happened to her helps me realize, once again (I feel like I go through a similar processes whenever I hear that someone has gone to their final rest) how important it is to to cherish every moment. My advise: leave those you love with love after ever encounter, you never know when it will be your last.
My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the Clement family. Mrs. Clement I know you have joined the legion of Christ's angels, I pray you watch over us all.
