Yellow and Grey

It's been a long time coming (see here and here) but our guest bath is finally complete (well at least the walls are painted).

  1. We removed wallpaper only to unveil a beautiful forest green-colored paint (can you sense the sarcasm?)
  2. After covering everything and taping all the edges, the priming began
  3. The green paint was so dark that it needed not one,
  4. but two, coats of primer

After many hours of work stretched over several months, I'm so happy with the result; a much more modern bathroom that appears cleaner, larger and brighter than its former version.

The details:
The shower curtain and bath mat are from West Elm.

There are certainly some more details I'd like to add, like wall hangings and new bath towels, but for the time being I love it and I have confidence that our guests will be comfortable in our new redesigned bathroom.

Now onto our next home project - the deck!

Be blessed,
Brittany

  2. Looks great Brittany. It deffinatly feels cleaner and calmer. The wall paper before was just too much; color, texture, and pattern for the space. FEELS GREAT NOW! I can't wait to visit and see it.

  5. Hi Brittany! Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. I LOVE your bathroom! The paint color adds such depth, and I guessed as soon as I saw your linens that they were west elm. Love that place!

    1. Thanks so much Erica! I love West Elm too, it's one of those really "dangerous" stores where I love to shop but always spend too much!
