I want to introduce you all to a truly wonderful woman that I met during my first Cara Box experience. A woman who I believe was brought into my life to be a friend (that I've never met in person) but whom has brought me so much joy and encouragement. I'm drawn to her for so many reasons: for her love of DIY projects, for her awesome sense of fashion, for her obsession with The Real Housewives but more importantly because she is generous, kind and so very thoughtful.
I'd like to introduce you to Wendy who blogs at Effie Girl and please show her some love.
How long have you been blogging and why did you get into it?
I’ve been blogging since May this year. The reason I started? I’ve stumbled on so many of them, it looked fun. My old website was too demanding, so I wanted something ‘fun’ rather than something overwhelming. Plus, I read this book Life From Scratch, about a girl who starts blogging after a divorce, and gets into cooking. It gave me the inspiration.
What are the last three songs you listened to?
Brave, by Sara Bareilles-the first time I’ve heard it; Empathy by Alanis Morissette; and Hell on Heels by Pistol Annies
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
I’ve traveled so many far away places in my life, I think I’d want a simple place with my entire family for two weeks. That’s if this dream place includes the dream of everyone loving each other and getting along.
Salty or Sweet?
Not too big on either one, but definitely salt calls my name before sweets.
What’s your favorite quote?
May the happiest day of your past, be the saddest day of your future (My friend’s mother wrote that in my HS year book)
Describe one of your guilty pleasures.
A straight up Martini! Guilty for the calories, only. Should we feel guilty for any pleasure we so deserve?
Tell me about one blessing in your life.
My handsome son. I couldn’t have asked for a better gift in life, than the feeling of pregnancy and watching a miracle.
