Random Acts of Tucciness

When I leave this world I hope I leave a positive, lasting impression. I hope I impact the world in a good way, even if it's small. I hope my family and friends are proud of the person I was and the legacy I leave behind.

Several weeks ago a young man unnecessarily lost his life. He was only 27 and he was shot and killed in a random act of violence. I only met David Santucci "Tucci" a couple of times and I can't say that I knew him well, but I can say that he has been an inspiration to me and to those who were close to him. Tucci left a legacy driven by his capacity for kindness and his devotion and service to others. His legacy will live on for years because his death inspired a movement.

Operation Tucci is a movement promoting selflessness. A pay-it-forward movement driven by random acts of kindness. People from across the globe are leaving 50-100% tips when they visit restaurants or have pizza delivered, they're buying coffee for others and they're putting others first, all in honor of a young man who lived everyday thinking of others. It's amazing how one random act of violence has sparked so many random acts of kindness.

I encourage you all to check out, and participate, in the movement. You don't have to do much, simply put others before yourself. Upload your pictures to facebook and twitter using #randomactsoftucciness and the city where the random act of kindness occurs and watch as Operation Tucci spreads.
