I'll Miss Her

My favorite dog, Zoe, passed away on Thursday. My mom called me after work to tell me the news. It's been several days but I can't stop thinking about what a loss it is to me and my family. I never thought I'd be emotional about a pet passing but I will truly miss the brown-spotted Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

I think the holidays make her passing a little sadder because each year on Christmas all the girls in the house would take a picture in front of the tree together, which basically means it was my mom, sister, our two dogs, Lucy and Zoe, and myself. We have many family pictures with her because we all genuinely thought of her as part of our family.

For 13 years Zoe brought so much joy to our house and our hearts. Even though it's been years since I've shared a home with her she will always be my favorite dog, my Zoe-girl and I will miss her dearly.

For all you pet owners out there, love on your furry friends a little more tonight and be grateful for their presence in your home during the holidays. Here to  you Zoe!

Be Blessed,
Brittany

  1. Oh Brittany! I'm sorry---I truly understand that sadness! We lost our doggy, Mocha, this year and our parents doggy, Ginger, too. Tough stuff for sure. Hugs!

    1. I remember hearing about Ginger (Gingy as I affectionately called her) passing. I was so sorry to hear about it, she was one of my favorite dogs. It's so funny how those fur balls take such a big spot in your heart.

  2. I am just now seeing this and am so sorry! Those little fluffy ones do become a part of the family so quickly so it's always hard to lose one. I know Ginger welcomed Zoe to doggy heaven with a wagging tail and some treats. Hugs to your family!

  3. Brittany, I'm so sorry I didn't see this back in December. I'm so sorry about your little Zoe passing. I bet Lucy misses her as well, a daily companion. I know when my girl Lucy passes, I will be devastated. Hugs to you my friend xo
