A Grateful American

I spent most of the weekend relaxing with my family and embracing all things Americana. In the mists of it all it got me thinking of reasons why I'm so proud to reside in the US of A. A country of freedom and liberty where perseverance, hard work and a little luck can help almost anyone capture their dreams.

I thought about the opportunities that my son will have here and how different his future looks in comparison to so many other children around the world. I put together a list of some of the things I love that I might not be able to enjoy if it weren't for the freedoms I'm promised as an American.

Afternoon Naps
Toddlers in Sprinklers
Cheeseburgers
Good Ole Country Songs
Fourth of July Parades
Family Time

Bubble Baths
Pool Time
Old School Rap
Movie Marathons
Road Trips
Late Night Ice Cream
Afternoon Runs
Coca-Cola
Fireworks

Friends
Engagements and Weddings
Watching the Game
Vegetable  Gardens
Facetime
Colored Nail Polish
Flavored Coffee Creamer
Time off Work
Blogging

Cheese Dip
Collectable Starbuck Mugs
Pictures
Elmo
Cookie Dough

The list can go on and on because we are blessed beyond belief. Why are you grateful to be an American?

Be Blessed,
Brittany
