My Personal Fairytale

Father's Day was extra special this year since it was the first time we got to celebrate as parents. The weekend itself was next to perfect. We did work in the yard, painted the second bathroom, grilled, went to the farmer's market and really enjoyed our time together as a family.

On several occasions I caught myself thinking that I was living my own personal fairytale. It's nice to reflect back on hard work, patience and the support of family and friends to realize that I've reached my idea of success. That's not to say that I won't strive toward new goals, but for the time being, I am truly happy and I feel abundantly blessed.

Here are some quick pics from our weekend.

On Saturday we took an early morning trip to the Farmer's Market. It was absolutely gorgeous outside and <A> was so well behaved. He saw a dog for the first time and he was really interested in all the Farmer's market happenings.

We snagged some great local items from apple butter and hot sauce, to bread, beets and a couple marinades and I got some great pictures in the process.

Sunday morning (Father's Day) started out with some cuddle time and ended with some cake (of sorts).

My cake didn't turn out as Pintastic as I hoped but my hubby loved it and that's all that really counts, right?

How did you spend your Father's Day?
